MeanGene is the former host of the Yahoo Sports Kings on Yahoo Sports Radio, SB Nation Radio, KFNX AM 1100 in Phoenix, KRLA 870 in Los Angeles and most recently KDWN 720 AM-101.5 FM in Las Vegas. MeanGene has been in the Sports Radio broadcasting business for over 20 years and have interviewed some of the biggest names in Professional Sports.

The St. Louis Rams packed up everything, drove across country and became the Los Angeles Rams again. Jeff Fisher enters his 5th season with LA and returns to where he played his college football at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum when he was with USC.
Fisher and the Rams ranked dead last in offense last year and 23rd in defense. They acquired QB Jared Goff in this year's NFL Draft and hope he is the answer that will help the Rams improve on their 7-9 record last year.

It’s hard to believe the Cleveland Browns in the last 5 years have only won 23 games and lost 57. It’s also hard to believe in the last 10 seasons, the Browns have started 17 different Quarterbacks to go along with 5 General Managers and 6 head coaches including their new head coach Hue Jackson. It’s no wonder this team has not been able to move forward. If I had to use one word to sum up this team, it would be “Distractions”.

Bill O Brien returns for his 3rd season with the Texans. Last season, after a 2-5 start, they somehow managed to win the AFC South (thanks to Andrew Luck and the Colts), they even hosted an AFC Wild Card game, unfortunately they lost 30-0 at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Sports Kings (Necole Key, Rod Johnson and MeanGene) are back this week to talk WNBA,NBA, MLB and yes The Preakness.
The WNBA season is underway, hard to believe the league has been around for 19 seasons. Only 12 teams now, but still exiting to watch. The Phoenix Mercury led by Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi are still looking for their first win of the young season.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are unbeaten with 10 straight wins in the NBA playoffs , they look to continue their streak against the Raptors as their series move to Toronto. The Western Conference finals move to Oklahoma City where the Thunder hope to take a 2-1 lead in that series.
The 141st Preakness will take place on Saturday May 21, 2016 in Baltimore as Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist tries to win the 2nd leg of the Triple Crown. Nyquist is the 3-5 favorite for Saturday's race.

NFL rookies report to their teams after signing contracts, now its time to show what you're made of. MeanGene and Rod Johnson discuss the NFC West and what teams got better as a result of the draft including our own draft grades.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are making a mockery of the Atlanta Hawks and are very close to a sweep of their playoff series. Miami is having success with Toronto and look to take a series lead this weekend in South Beach, MeanGene and Rod give their thoughts on the NBA playoffs.
The 142nd Kentucky Derby kicks off on Saturday evening. Nyquist and Exaggerator are the early favorites, but MeanGene likes Trojan Nation to pull of the upset at 50-1. Rod likes Nyquist.
