SUPER BOWL LI: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. ATLANTA FALCONS
Two teams. One game. It all comes down to this.
On Sunday, February 5, the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons will meet in Super Bowl LI (6:30 PM ET, FOX) at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Super Bowl LI will feature the NFL’s top-scoring team – Atlanta (540 points, 33.8 points per game) – against the club which allowed the fewest points in the league – New England (250 points, 15.6 points per game). It marks the sixth time since the 1970 merger that the Super Bowl showcases the team that led the NFL in scoring against the club that allowed the fewest points.
The Patriots have won nine consecutive games and advanced to the Super Bowl with a 36-17 victory over Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium. In that contest, Brady passed for 384 yards and three touchdowns, including two scoring strikes to wide receiver CHRIS HOGAN. Hogan finished the game with nine catches for a franchise postseason-record 180 yards and two touchdowns.
The Falcons have spread the ball out as Ryan threw a touchdown pass to 13 different players in the regular season, the most ever in a season in league history. Among his favorite targets is Jones, who led the NFL averaging 100.6 receiving yards per game this season (1,409 yards in 14 games).

It’s the final push for NFL teams as the regular season ends on Sunday, January 1. All 16 games are division contests. And with one week to go, there are still 14 teams in contention for a trip to Super Bowl LI.
The schedule is set for Week 17, culminating with the final game of the 2016 regular season (#Game256) to determine the NFC North winner. On Sunday night in primetime (8:30 PM ET, NBC), the Detroit Lions (9-6) will host the Green Bay Packers (9-6) at Ford Field with the division title on the line. And, depending on the results of Sunday’s earlier games, the loser of this contest could be out of the playoff picture entirely.
The playoff teams in the AFC are locked in – New England (13-2), Oakland (12-3), Kansas City (11-4), Pittsburgh (10-5), Miami (10-5) and Houston (9-6) – although there’s still plenty to play for in Week 17.
In the NFC, three of the four NFC division winners have been determined: Dallas (NFC East), Atlanta (NFC South) and Seattle (NFC West). The Cowboys (13-2) have secured home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. The Falcons (10-5) can earn the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye with a win or losses by both Seattle and Detroit. The Seahawks (9-5-1) can lock up the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye with a win and an Atlanta loss.

There are only four games remaining in the regular season to decide who advances to the playoffs for a shot at a trip to Super Bowl LI.
As the NFL enters the final quarter of the regular season, there are 19 teams either in or within one game of a playoff spot.
Entering Week 14, only one team – the Dallas Cowboys (11-1) – has clinched a spot in the 2016 playoff field. The Cowboys, who have secured at least a playoff berth, can win the NFC East division title with a win at the New York Giants on Sunday night. The Cowboys can also clinch a first-round bye with a win and either a Detroit loss or a Seattle loss. And Dallas can lock up the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC with a win and losses by both Detroit and Seattle.
The week concludes with a pair of primetime contests with playoff implications. On Sunday night (8:30 PM ET, NBC), the Cowboys (11-1) visit the New York Giants (8-4). Dallas, which has won 11 consecutive games, has already secured a playoff berth and will clinch the division title with a victory. The Giants, who handed the Cowboys their only loss this season (20-19 in Week 1), are currently in position for the NFC’s first Wild Card spot.
On Monday night (8:30 PM ET, ESPN), the Patriots (10-2) host the Baltimore Ravens (7-5). New England can clinch the AFC East division title for the eighth consecutive season with a win and a Miami loss, which would be the longest streak of division titles in NFL history. Baltimore has won four of its past five games and enters Week 14 tied with Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North.
