The NFL’s lone undefeated team, the PITTSBURGH STEELERS, travels to play the DALLAS COWBOYS on Sunday (4:25 PM ET, CBS) in a rematch of three prior Super Bowls (X, XIII, XXX).
The Steelers (7-0) are off to their best start since 1978. A franchise that has won six Super bowls, tied with New England for the most in NFL history, can achieve its best start ever with a win on Sunday.
The MINNESOTA VIKINGS, one of the teams that prevailed in a close game in Week 8, host the DETROIT LIONS on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, CBS). Last week, Vikings running back DALVIN COOK became the fifth player in the Super Bowl era with at least 200 scrimmage yards, three rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown in a single game, joining SHAUN ALEXANDER (Week 4, 2002), CLINTON PORTIS (Week 15, 2002), FRED TAYLOR (Week 12, 2000) and Pro Football Hall of Famer MARSHALL FAULK (Week 7, 2002).
Tampa Bay quarterback TOM BRADY (561) and New Orleans quarterback DREW BREES (560) rank first and second, respectively, and could exchange the record multiple times in the same game on Sunday Night Football when the Saints travel to meet the Buccaneers (8:20 PM ET, NBC).

The Steelers-Ravens showdown matches the head coaches with the NFL’s top two records in games following a bye since 2010, Baltimore’s JOHN HARBAUGH (8-2) and Pittsburgh’s MIKE TOMLIN (8-3). The Ravens were off last week. The Steelers won their Week 5 contest after their bye.
Baltimore has the NFL’s No. 1 rushing attack (164.3 yards per game), while Pittsburgh features the league’s No. 2-ranked rushing defense (68.8 yards allowed per game).
The NFC West has another important divisional matchup on the schedule this week as the SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS travel to play the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (4:25 PM ET, FOX). The NFC West’s 19 wins this season are the most among NFL divisions. It remains the only division in which all four teams are .500 or better and all four teams have a positive point-differential entering Week 8.
When the MIAMI DOLPHINS host the LOS ANGELES RAMS on Sunday (1:00 PM, FOX), TUA TAGOVAILOA will become the third rookie quarterback this season to make his first career start, joining Cincinnati’s JOE BURROW and the Chargers’ JUSTIN HERBERT. The fifth-overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, Tagovailoa is the fourth quarterback selected in the first round by the Dolphins during the common-draft era (since 1967), joining Pro Football Hall of Famers DAN MARINO (1983) and BOB GRIESE (1967), and RYAN TANNEHILL (2012).

Two of the NFL’s three remaining undefeated teams square off Sunday when the PITTSBURGH STEELERS travel to meet the TENNESSEE TITANS (1:00 PM ET, CBS). It’s only the sixth contest in the Super Bowl era, and just the eighth overall NFL game, matching teams that have at least five wins and zero losses.
Sunday Night Football rekindles a 19-year-old rivalry that started in the 2001 Divisional playoffs. When the LAS VEGAS RAIDERS host the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (8:20 PM ET, NBC), Las Vegas head coach JON GRUDEN and Tampa Bay quarterback TOM BRADY will meet for the third time in their careers.
The SEATTLE SEAHAWKS, 5-0 and off to their best start in franchise history, come off a bye with a stiff road test at the ARIZONA CARDINALS (4-2) on Sunday (4:05 PM ET, FOX).

A very rare "live show" just in time for the NFL Thursday Night Game. Too bad the match up is not that great , but if the Eagles somehow manage to win this game, they will take over first place in that horrible thing called the "NFC East".
The NBA announces the start of the 2020-21 season. Discussions are still underway as to when the 2021-22 season will start , the NBA players and Board of Governors will have to reach an agreement.
The Big Ten conference will begin play this weekend, although they are a few weeks behind some of the other big NCAA conferences, how will the NCAA determine a national champion during this unprecedented season?

To say the 2020 NFL season has been a high-scoring campaign might rank among the top understatements of all-time.
That’s because, speaking of all-time, none of the previous 100 NFL seasons through five weeks have produced more points or touchdowns than 2020.
Two of those high-scoring teams, the CLEVELAND BROWNS (4-1) and PITTSBURGH STEELERS (4-0) – go head to head Sunday in an AFC North showdown at Heinz Field (1:00 PM ET, CBS). Cleveland, off to its best start since 1994, has scored 30-or-more points in four consecutive contests, its longest streak since a seven-game stretch in 1968. The Browns lead the AFC with 19 total touchdowns. Pittsburgh is coming off its highest-scoring game in nearly two years, a 38-29 win over the Eagles in Week 5. In the victory, Steelers wide receiver CHASE CLAYPOOL, a native of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, became the first rookie in NFL history to score three receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in the same game. Claypool leads all rookies with five touchdowns (four receiving, one rushing) in 2020.
BATTLE OF THE BAYS: The highest-scoring team this year, the GREEN BAY PACKERS (38.0 points per game), emerges from a bye and travels to meet the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS on Sunday (4:25 PM ET, FOX). Green Bay (4-0) is off to its best start since beginning the 2015 season 6-0. Packers running back AARON JONES and Buccaneers wide receiver MIKE EVANS are tied for third in the NFL with six touchdowns each, as both players have reached the end zone in each of their team’s games this season. Quarterbacks AARON RODGERS (13) and TOM BRADY (12) have combined for 25 touchdown passes this season. They square off in the rubber match of their series as starting quarterbacks, with each player winning one of the first two meetings.

Through Week 4, league-wide scoring continues to trend at a historic rate, as the totals for touchdowns (371) and points scored (3,233) are both the most in NFL history through the first four weeks of a season.
Eight teams are averaging at least 30 points per game, the most ever in a single season through Week 4, and the 51.3 total points per game scored (both teams combined) is the highest total through the first four weeks of a season since 1970.
Dallas quarterback DAK PRESCOTT leads the league with 1,690 pass yards this season, the most passing yards by a player in his team’s first four games of a season in NFL history. Prescott – who passed for 450 yards in Week 3, 472 yards in Week 4 and a career-high 502 yards in Week 4 – is the first player in NFL history with at least 450 passing yards in three consecutive games.
In 35 career starts, Kansas City quarterback PATRICK MAHOMES has averaged 301.3 passing yards per game, including 19 career games with at least 300 passing yards. Mahomes has reached 300 passing yards twice this season (302 yards in Week 2 and 385 yards in Week 3).
