RIVERS has thrown for at least 350 yards in three consecutive games,
including a single-game
team record 503 yards last week. Rivers is one of 17 quarterbacks in NFL
history to pass for 500 yards and of those 17, TOM BRADY threw for the most yards (423) in the game following his
500-yard performance (September 18, 2011).
With at least 350 yards against Oakland on Sunday, Rivers would surpass DREW BREES (349) for the second-most passing yards following a 500-yard performance in NFL history.
The 2015 NFL regular-season schedule features 19 Super Bowl rematches as part of the year-long celebration of Super Bowl 50, which will be played on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
In Week 7, the
Saints will travel to take on the Colts Sunday in a rematch of Super Bowl XLIV,
won by the Saints 31-17. Rematches are part of the NFL’s On The Fifty
platform, designed to link the past 49 Super Bowls with this year’s game and
honor the teams, players, coaches, fans and communities that have been a part
of those games.
