***COMMERCIAL FREE*******History shows that a losing record at
this point in the season does not negate a team’s chances of making the
playoffs. Since 2000, 35 teams have reached the halfway point of their
season with a .500 or below winning percentage and proceeded to the playoffs,
including at least one in each season. Of those 35
clubs, five have advanced to the Conference Championship Game, including
the 2001 New England Patriots, who won Super Bowl XXXVI. The GREEN BAY PACKERS and the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
will both face opponents with 6-0 records or better for the second consecutive
week. Previously, only the 1934 Detroit Lions and 2004 Pittsburgh Steelers have
played teams 6-0 or better in consecutive games. The Packers, who played the 6-0 Broncos in Week 8, travel to
Carolina (7-0), while the Colts, who played the 6-0 Panthers on Monday Night Football last week, host
Denver (7-0).The Yahoo Sports Kings discuss what's likely to happen during Week 9 of the National Football League. MeanGene, Ronnie Brooks and Rod Johnson break down every match-up and give you our best analysis and predictions. The Yahoo Sports Kings on Yahoo Sports Radio.

Sunday Nov 01, 2015
The Yahoo Sports Kings get you ready for Week 8 of the 2015 National Football League season. As
the NFL enters Week 8, there are five undefeated teams – Carolina (6-0), Cincinnati
(6-0), Denver (6-0), Green Bay (6-0) and New England (6-0). That marks the most
6-0 teams in a season in NFL history. The previous mark was four set in
2009. Two
of those teams – Green Bay and Denver – will meet on Sunday night when the
Packers travel to Sports Authority Field at Mile High to face the Broncos. It
is only the fourth game in NFL history – and the first in primetime –
between two teams 6-0 or better and the first since 2007 (November 4) when
the 8-0 New England Patriots defeated the 7-0 Indianapolis Colts. Join MeanGene and Rod Johnson for a closer look at what to expect in Week 8 as we give you our predictions and analysis on the Yahoo Sports Kings NFL Weekly Countdown Show on Yahoo Sports Radio.
